Richard A. O’Brien
Richard A. O’Brien has been actively involved as a broker, manager and principal in the Phoenix commercial real estate market since 1981. In 2004, Mr. O’Brien joined with Mark McLoone, the former President of Johnson Wax Development Company, to form Hibernia Capital Advisors. The mission of Hibernia Capital Advisors is to utilize the market knowledge of its principals in sourcing and co-investing in real estate opportunities in the Phoenix market with selected institutional investors.
In 1994, at the behest of Johnson Wax Development Company, Mr. O’Brien formed O’Brien Management Company. The company managed the residential and commercial properties owned by Johnson Wax Development in metropolitan Phoenix. O’Brien Management was ultimately acquired by Mile High Properties of Denver, Colorado and Mr. O’Brien became the COO of Mile High’s property, development and parking subsidiaries. Over the course of four years, Mr. O’Brien restructured Mile High’s operating assets, converted them to profitability and sold the companies to key industry leaders.
Starting his real estate career with Coldwell Banker (now CB Richard Ellis) and continuing it with Iliff Thorn (now Colliers), he became a leading broker of commercial properties. Major investment properties brokered by Mr. O’Brien include Anchor Centre, 3030 N. Central Avenue and Thomas Mall.
Subsequent to his brokerage career, Mr. O’Brien began to acquire investment land in a series of partnerships. Over the period through the early nineties, a sizable portfolio of land holdings were assembled, entitled and liquidated.
Rich Graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Business. He holds a Certified Public Accountant’s certificate and a real estate broker’s license in the State of Arizona.

Mark E. McLoone
Mark McLoone, with Partner Richard O’Brien, formed Hibernia Capital Advisors in April 2004, as a real estate investment and advisory company to identify, acquire and co-invest in and managing opportunistic real estate developments in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
In addition to HCA, Mark was a Founding Member and Principal to Resco Self Storage in Irvine, California. This venture, formed for the purpose of exclusively developing self-storage facilities for Shurgard Storage Centers, Inc. (Acquired by Public Storage in 2006) , developed approximately $225 million worth of storage facilities throughout Southern California from 1999 through 2006.
From 1987 to 1997 Mark served as President and COO of Johnson Wax Development Corporation where he developed and implemented a successful plan of restructuring and liquidating a $900 million real estate investment and development company which was a wholly-owned subsidiary of S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc.
Product types in the portfolio, located throughout Arizona, Northern and Southern California and Washington included approximately 1500 apartments, 400,000 sq.ft. of retail, 700,000 sq.ft. of industrial product, 2 million sq.ft. of office, and several mixed-use land developments.
Mark graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1972 and the Wharton School of Business with an MBA in 1975. Mark is a board member of Arizona State University’s Center for Design Excellence.

David R. French
David began his career at The Lyle Anderson Company, where he collaborated with a dynamic group of co-workers who created impressive real estate projects across the world. From the Loch Lomond Club in Scotland, Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona and Hokulia on the Big Island, Hawaii to name a few, the Lyle Anderson Company developed high-end Master Planned Communities complete with custom lots, luxurious amenities including signature golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus. During his tenure there, David was involved with all aspect of the development process, with significant responsibility in connection with a 7,000 acre community Festival Ranch in Buckeye, Arizona.
Most recently David was Campaign Manager for Ben Quayle’s successful bid for the US Congressional District 3 seat, which encompasses Paradise Valley and North Phoenix.
David graduated from Washington & Lee University and earned a JD at Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law.

Taber L. Anderson
Taber Anderson’s real estate investment and asset management career spans nearly 24 years and includes in-depth experience in all facets of the industry including acquisitions, finance, entitlements, master-planned residential and mixed-use commercial and hospitality development, as well as both production and semi-custom homebuilding.
Prior to and concurrent with joining Hibernia Capital Advisors, Taber maintians an active relationship with New York based Columbus Nova Partners in multiple real estate investment and entitlement joint ventures.
Taber was Managing Director with Crown Realty & Development of Southern California responsible for the resort/residential division which included the acquisition and development of a prominent $330M resort and residential project in the Phoenix area as well as other prominent properties.
Prior to Crown Realty, Taber served for 5 years as President of the Lyle Anderson Company’s primary investment, operating and development entities after progressing through several management and executive-level positions over a 17-year span within the firm, an iconic large-scale real estate investment and master-planned community development company. LAC is widely known for such developments as Desert Highlands, Desert Mountain, Superstition Mountain and Sun City Festival/Festival Ranch in the Scottsdale/Phoenix metropolitan area, Las Campanas, Santa Fe, Loch Lomond, Luss, Scotland and Hokuli’a, Kona, Hawaii.
Taber received his BA from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California and attended Columbia University’s Masters in Real Estate Development Program in New York City.
Mr. Anderson is a current Board Member of Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s Conservation Acquisitions Board originally appointed in 2007 by former Governor Janet Napolitano now Director of Homeland Security. Taber is also a Life Member of The Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds is a non-profit charitable giving organization founded in 1937 whose mission is to assist children and families in need and improve the quality of life in Arizona’s communities. The Thunderbirds is the managing sponsor and operator of the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament held annually in Scottsdale.
